You can also think of applying the baking soda to the infected area and leave it to dry out. This will allow you to minimize the damp condition and will discourage the growth of fungus. Raw garlic and honey can also be an effective remedy for athletes foot. The anti-fungal properties can solve the itching problem. Prevention is the most effective way in order to deal with the athletes foot. You need to keep yourself away from the moist dark areas where the lack of air flow is found. Socks play a huge role and if it is wet then you’re probably going to face the problem. It becomes the perfect place for the fungus to enhance their growth as they feed on wet feet.
