Introduction Grinding mills is exclusive machinery which is used in mining sites. Its main function is to crush heavy, large particles into smaller pieces. Its purchase, installation, commissioning and maintenance need to be carefully executed .Since this is an very expensive machinery, any mistake can cause loss of millions, combining with loss of work caused; it’s just a dreadful for any contractor. Laying Foundation Consideration: Normally concrete foundations are laid, the strength and capacity of concrete need to be calculated properly. For the purpose the engineer accountable for foundation lying, should carefully view and study the figures and diagrams given concerning the mill. These figures give idea, about the size of concrete foundation,weight load of machine, linked conveyers, motors, and associated machinery weight. Also, it’s an engineering principle to design for the “worst case scenario”; engineer working should calculate approximately the most extreme conditions and estimate the foundation strength accordingly. ISSUES NEED TO BE KEPT IN MIND: The diagrams which are given with the machine, sometimes comes with certain unit of measurements that may be misinterpreted during designing phase .Thus a proper care must be taken, and necessary assurance must be taken in order to avoid any catastrophe to the mill. In the mining areas , the soil strength factor , climatic conditions , and most significantly the size of foundation should be large enough so that working labor is facilitated .Also maintenance work can be carried out appropriately without any obstruction . Since on the site, other working machinery is also installed with its own base, thus it is also one of the vital point that need to be measured .Because nearby machines vibrations and operations may affect this grinding mills process and foundations too. Conclusion: After the designing comes the construction phase, which also need to be correctly planned, monitored and executed so that design on paper can be implemented in the real scenario and the obligatory requirement of the construction of grinding mill function can be achieved.
