How to keep your carpets clean? For me a home is not home without a nice warm carpet in the living room. It is what symbolises comfort, warmth and home. Having laminate flooring can be at time more practical but it makes a room feel cold and unloved. People are getting put off because they think carpets are hard to keep maintained and up together but this is not the case. One of the most important things to do is to treat a carpet stain instantly, don't give it time to settle in further. A good tip is to spread salt over the affected area to soak up the moisture. Let the salt settle in for a few minutes and then saturate it with cleaning solution. Let the cleaning solution settle in for 5-10 minutes. Brush the area with a carpet brush and then apply more cleaning solution repeat the same process. When you have brushed for the 2nd time you can then start patting it with a towel to absorb any moisture. Once that is done you can start to hoover up what is left and you should have a fresh and clean carpet!
