LOST CIVILISATIONS. Or mangled memories?

There is a thing called forbidden archeology which struck my attention once and I even bought a voluminous book by that title crammed with findings that found themselves dusty shelves in warehouses. Conspiracy theories abound, but it is uncanny how many of them are often corroborated by unusual findings much later in the game. The strange thing is that the establishment, for want of a better word, always comes out fighting with every gun firing with plausible explanations for things that simply do not add up. The Neanderthal man conundrum is one where even the thought that we might have inherited some of his genes, through direct descent, was enough to get those hackles up dismissively. You could almost smell the venom which now appears to be a result of inter academic disregard for anything that might create a wave of speculation. In any case, sooner or later, someone brings up a serious argument for one discarded theory or another and it all starts coming to light…..

This is now particularly interesting with respect to extremely ancient but highly developed civilizations which may have covered fairly large portions or our world some twenty to thirty thousand years ago. Of course, they are still denying this in favour of the tribal savages, however modern they might have been in the intelligence scale. Genetic studies which are becoming increasingly complicated and perceptive appear to show that the stock of genetic spread of humankind is an extended growth of a small portion of what must have been a very large number of people who must have perished. What it means is that we are all descendants of a few survivors of a massive natural or cosmic development that led to almost total extinction. The survivors may well have had a genetic or physical advantage in terms of illness or simply safe hideaways. I prefer to think that if all of this is true, that it was probably due to both factors. Many would have not survived progressively dangerous diseases due to changes in habitat and food supplies. Our modern virus epidemics are an idea of what must have happened to many and which produced immunities for very small portions of the groupings which have lived through till today. The other factor is the cosmic one with meteors producing the devastation that is so graphically shown on those incredible TV documentaries.

Missing records

However, whilst all this makes common sense, ancient civilizations of a high order of things that could have rivaled Babylon and Ur do not appear to have left their archeological mark despite the fact that we have whole skeletons of beings before the dawn of mankind. I say before mankind, but the fact is that since most of the digs are concentrated in known place and it may well be that one day much will be found elsewhere that will point in another direction. All it takes is for someone with a bit of punch finds something either in the ground or in a forgotten museum and realizes that it is not what it was thought to be and pull off into a complete line of research that could change our whole concept of where we come from. My suspicion is that there were a variety of high level civilizations which left much of their knowledge and culture behind through survivors. These in turn would have been able to hand down their knowledge to create those seemingly instant heights of development of building and sophistication of cultures. The Arian and Chinese civilizations, without mentioning the Egyptian one, are but two of these sudden flowerings which still amaze. If some of those keepers of knowledge were able to filter what little they had gathered through to those pioneers capable of deciphering it, then the pyramids and engineering works of that ilk together with the social and religious structures that accompanied them would make a lot of sense. If often happens that oral traditions are ascribed by family members as referring to peculiarities that took place in their immediate past, whereas in fact, they were very valuable clues to their line of ancient antiquity. I was privy to something very similar to that with respect to a family descendent from an ancient royal line. The oral tradition had lost a great deal of the real essence of the knowledge. They thought they had family in high places in a modern city and they were also told that a grandfather had been named by the same name as an earlier brother who had died. Nobody could find traces of these members of the family within a generation or two, but when it came to doing genealogical studies going back into the hundreds of years, it became obvious just which line they were descended from, in the absence of documents, long since destroyed, by vested interests in their heritage. Bending history

The inherited religious traditions although written in most cases, are often misrepresented by manipulative politicians and or priests to suit their own ends. Ancient texts may also have been manipulated as in the case of the skimpy historical records of Christ, also of figures like Solomon, Hermes Trimigestus, Horus etc. In fact put together, they deny entirely the concepts we have of most of them and even their genuine existence at one point or another. The reason for my mentioning this is that much of very ancient history behind one civilization or another has found expression in these texts and we have passed it all by because it appears to sounds like a good cradle of inexplicable nonsense. This need not be the case when viewed in context of what is considered forbidden archeology.

Today, new revelations suggest that during the last thirty thousand years, which is relatively recent, huge changes in climatic conditions drove millions away from their once fertile pasturelands to unknown and sometimes fatal destinations. We also now knows that huge numbers of people in Asia found shelter in deep caverns and tunnel systems to create underground civilizations which they shaped to fit their needs. Life outside would have only been possible during certain times of the year and the for the rest of the time a full underground life perhaps with some access to filtered light would have made it possible for the cavern dwellers to survive. In periods of severe flooding with the rising of sea levels, it is obvious that mountain tops or very high ground would have been the aimed for settlement. These footholds of underground survival would have eventually been dispensed with but the knowledge of their existence and the sacredness of the places with all their nostalgic and perhaps hidden references would have been zealously kept by those who wanted the future descendants to know. It is a teasing and indicative thought that many subsequent memorable monuments would have been built directly over these labyrinths and which appears to be the case with the Pyramids of Egypt. Some castles were also built over these caves, but then it has obvious escape route possibilities and may have been done for these reasons specifically as again appears to be the case with the castle in world renowned Aracena in Spain.

Symbols for the initiated

Symbolism is another of those ways in which descending civilizations have kept memories alive by guardians of the secrets and their puzzling symbols can be studied with that mind. Why the scallop for Compostella for example? And the eight pointed cross of the Templars so particularly elaborate? Or the Ankh, Sceptre and crowns of the line of rulers? Or even the armless Templar cross signs with just the north and south vectors depicted (without the east and west arms)? Much may be pure figurative garble, but the thought given to the concepts they represent betrays something else behind them but “only for certain eyes to see”. Plato with his thoughts on Atlantis would have hardly sat down and decided to speak of an earlier civilization better than his which prided itself in being the most civilized of the period. Neither would he have spoken of higher levels of evolution and sophistication unless he was convinced that it did in fact exist at one point in time. The graphic descriptions that have led thousands of intellectuals to pace grounds across the world are a little too detailed to be based entirely on the imagination. The idea of an Atlantis has not only captivated the minds of people throughout the world, but it has moved mountains in the attempt to place it geographically. Again, the Old Testament would have hardly made mention of daughters of men relating to bestial conjugal acts unless there was a reason or racial memory to accept it as a possibility. Neither would the mention of Bird and Snake people in ancient Asian texts or the puzzling story of the Edhin settlement written on the Iranian stele that predates with and demonstrates great similarity with our story of the Garden of Eden. These carvings on stone amazingly portray some sort of attempt to initiate a programme of artificial insemination of lower but stronger beings with their own advanced but physically weaker culture. Could this have been the daughters of men abominations spoken about elsewhere? Then we have the deluge and those strange, almost scientific exercises on the part of Noah of preservation of racial types and a variety of animals.

Cannot be imagination on its own

Surely this is not the product of the imagination of people who had better things to do to survive the trials and tribulations of their times than invent meaningless fantasies? No religious or historical tale is written in vain. The essence of these stories is too disquietingly vivid to be banalities. They are warnings and transcriptions from oral to written expression. Mangled perhaps, but not visibly in view of their obvious and pointed arguments which are just as fresh today as if they came as headlines on popular newspapers. Was there something to be said that we are ignoring? Was the Babel story in days when we suppose such things did not exist and which sounds every inch a skyscraper, really a literary invention? Could a Ziggurat have such a base that the edifice could climb that high with the Pisa effect? More likely than not, it was a secured based, if it existed at all and of such efficiency that the heights went far beyond anything attempted before. Enough to frighten the superstitious which is what is implied by the story. If this is so, would it not have been much more startling and credible without moral leanings? Or perhaps the moral warning came from envious competitors who relied on their priests to discredit what they considered an abomination and perhaps a dangerous arms related race in terms of height advantage? One thing that many people who scorn these theories of previous high level knowledge appear to forget, is that much of what we publish and say, if not all, is but a compound of previous learnings. It takes a very long time to achieve an accumulation that leads to monuments of ingenuity as we can see today in our accelerating climb to such wonders of science. It happens in music and in story telling as one culture overlaps the other. Nothing of any consequence rises without long periods of incubation. Language, writing, colossal structures, political ingenuity – all rise from visible ascended civilizations and not as seems to be the case, from nothing as with Egypt and Babylon. Both refer to their founding Gods and their earthly descendants. Are we missing out on something with respect to all this apparent nonsense? For the Egyptians, the falcons and snakes of the peoples I mentioned earlier have a compatible representation, but with the Assyrians we see fish Gods. Are they trying to say something else or is it just a ruse to spread fear? Could there have been parallel high level civilization explorers who taught them these things and perhaps left some of their “seed” behind to infiltrate and breed the ruling race? It seems to be the case with the hapless Emperor Moctezuma of Mexico who was expecting these original invaders to come back and finally take them over. Such a sophisticated approach to fate could hardly have been thought overnight. It was without doubt part of the hidden oral tradition he had been brought up to watch for. If we examine the records we see that those first visiting demi Gods led by Quetzcoatl (the plumed serpent) travelled on propelled platforms without the sails they understood well. Who taught the Emperor these things in times when water vessels did not travel of their own accord or even remotely imagined they could. Much more can be found that defies explanation and the capacity or even knowledge base to be able to create them in such disconcerting details - including those enormous stone pillars in Ethiopia which depict skyscrapers in vivid details and with the architectural details of what can only be balconies, all the way to the top.

Ancient history much older than supposed.

It would perhaps be wise to note that most of our biblical history has been borrowed by enslaved tribes like the Judeans and Israeli´s subjected to the indoctrination of the Babylonians and the Egyptians. What they brought back with them to their own free identity was no longer what their forefathers had brought them but what succeeding generations learnt in their new habitats. As such therefore we can look towards much earlier civilizations to determine who their ancestors appeared to be. Solomon of example is clearly depicted in ancient Indian records as well known to them and travelling in Balloons. Did they perhaps do that when followers of Amon, the Egyptian deity associated with the Falcon found their frightening way to take to the skies as heirs of his flying knowledge? Very peculiar indeed, but these can only be remnants of very ancient anecdotes passed on through the millennia. What matters however is whether these anecdotes and beliefs can be taken as tribal memories because if they were, as is now becoming clearer, there have been other highly developed cultures which only now that we are reaching such high platforms of technological expertise, can we even begin to identify with. Much of that fantasy now begins to ring true and the door opens to interpretations that will keep generations of men searching for the hard evidence that appears to have been missed - or ignored….
