On March 5, 2013, a You Tube video showed up in which late night comedian Jimmy Kimmel introduces a new segment to his show called “The confusing question of the day.” The first question for the new segment is “What do you think about Obama pardoning the sequester and sending it to Portugal?” The answers given are all stunning and are capped off by the answer provided by two African American girls at the end of the segment. Their answer was, “Sequester - what; I just voted for him because he was black!” The answers are hard to believe, but so is the fact that people actually gave Kimmel’s team permission to use their faces on public TV. This is a case of dumb and dumber, the answers being very dumb, but are nothing compared to the idea of letting the whole world see just how dumb you look on a show that reaches millions every night of the week. The video is indeed funny, but very sad at the same time. It reminds us that of the 62 million people who just voted to have the worst President in American history go round for another four years have no way of seeing that the economy, the military, religious liberties and other freedoms and the nation itself may well pass into oblivion before they learn how to spell sequester, much less explain what it is. PC Dumbing Down - A Worldwide Phenomenon An outcome of modernity’s desire to see everything and everyone in a big happy universalist world of brotherhood and harmony, political correctness, has no signees and is an unwritten contract in which all agree to remove everything perceived as disagreeable from society, even if it happens to be the truth. A recent example comes to us from Saskatchewan, Canada where the human rights tribunal fined protestor Bill Whatcott $17,500 for distributing pictures of gays in public displays of nudity and pictures of mangled aborted babies. The case went to Canada’s Supreme Court where it was upheld and the last gasps of free speech in Canada could be heard across the world. As in other countries, PC has moved into a mode that not only disallows free speech, but graphic depictions of our worst behaviors can only be seen in approved formats. Films, TV, gaming, the internet and other media don’t suffer so much as a slap on the wrist, but one irate Canadian with a handful of pamphlets has been hit by the fiery breath of the great PC dragon and scorched nearly to death. Gay pride parades complete with exposed buttocks, grappling and groping are perfectly OK for the young and old alike, but pamphlets with the same depictions are subject to fines, nothing says PC madness, better than this. Label it hate, throw the word homophobe on it and file the protests away under ‘we don’t want to hear it,” and PC has wielded its mindless powers, full force, on a dumbed down generation. Both Warriors and Wimps are engaged in the Struggle Not everyone has worshipped before the great PC dragon. Renew America website recently published an article by journalist Laurie Roth entitled ‘Muslims burn Catholics alive in Nigeria.’ The website is known for its pursuit of the truth and while it has never used tabloid tactics to draw readers it came as a shock to see that the picture of 500 Nigerian Christians burned to death by a Muslim mob, accompanied the article. It is the kind of shock that is needed to bring the PC complicit congregants of the world back into reality and out of the lustrously appointed chambers of the PC temple of dishonesty. What might otherwise have remained buried and lost in a world of PC nonsense and dishonesty has been brought to the forefront in all of its grueling reality, but not simply to produce shock and awe. It is a way to prick the conscience of a generation that is slipping beneath the dark horizon marked reprobation and judgment. Pictures like this not only promise a judgment to come, but they are the perfect explanation of why there has to be a judgment at all. PC fluff and drivel will be blown away in the wind called the second coming of Christ, but in the meantime there is this word, much more than a proclamation, it is a very serious warning. “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his faithful servants.” (Ps 116: 15 NIV) PC and Diversity much more than disquieting – It is Delusional In an article titled ‘Islamists Exploiting the Interfaith Racket, posted Nov 27, 2012, Frontpage Magazine writer Hillel Zaremba said, “American values get a free pass from the interfaith establishment due largely to the firmly held belief that “diverse” (and disquieting) viewpoints must be respected — as long as they are Muslim.” Those with a secular world view and the Christian Church are both showing up at the great PC altar to worship. Whether the group has connections to terrorism or if it is an old standby organization that espouses anti-Semitism and racial hatred like Nation of Islam, if it’s ‘religious’ we are urged to allow it in to the PC Temple under the invisible PC contract that guides the reprobate and delusional. Zaremba concludes with, “The moral bankruptcy at the heart of such feel-good organizations is clearly on display. Like their fellow travelers in government and the mainstream media who ignore all available evidence, the collegial world of interfaith do-gooders burnishes the credentials of bad actors, in an increasingly one-sided sense of tolerance, embracing the very haters they would otherwise oppose.” The world may not know any better and that will not serve as an excuse, but it goes without saying that the church (if it goes by the Word of God) should know better and thus toe the line. The PC dragon has assaulted the church in the last days and we can see why the late evangelist Vance Havner surmised that, “People get so used to the dark that they think it is growing brighter.” The church in America has had it cushy for so long that, even pictures of burned Christians may not make any difference. Evangelist Havner also addressed this callous apostasy when he said, “A soft and sheltered Christianity, afraid to be lean and lone, unwilling to face the storms and brave the heights, will end up fat and foul in the cages of conformity.” PC and Diversity a Last Day’s Phenomena – Prophesied in the Bible? It is well known that the bible warns of wars, disasters and worldwide calamities prior to the second coming of Christ, but moral conditions are also fully described by many bible authors including the Apostle Paul. Paul said, “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.” (Ro 1: 24-28) Being given over to a reprobate mind is, in itself, the first stage of judgment. It is a place where no light can come in and it is the sealing of a soul for destruction. It is both the meaning of the biblical prophecy and the fruit of political correctness all rolled into one. It is the dragon’s ultimate victory when souls are sacrificed on the PC altar. When the ‘Evil Eye’ is your own Superstitions abound in both the old and new worlds which result in many real time beneficial truths being trivialized and minimized to the hurt of those who have had the real meaning of spiritual truth effectively stolen from them. The idea of the evil eye is one such truth. Some years ago I knew a girl who following the advice of her mother kept a small golden hand pinned to her underclothing to ward off the effect of the evil eye if someone looked at her the wrong way. Sounds silly, but they were quite serious about it even though the girl had several masters’ degrees and was relatively intelligent. The evil eye is never a look someone casts our way, but according to the bible it is our own eyes looking for evil in a way that supports our own worldview. It is that worldview that looks for and only accepts the things that support it, that succumbs to the PC and diversity prevarications of the day. Abortion, gay agenda, feminism, liberalism and a hundred other evil leanings are a general worldview; where you find one you will always find most of the others. Looking for what supports our own adopted worldview is - the evil eye. Jesus said it in a way that is both mysterious and yet simple, to wit: “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness.
