Today, India has become one of the fastest growing economies in the whole world with a commendable rate of advancement in every possible department be it business, agriculture, defence or even sports. The entire economy is progressing at a rapid pace and is perceived by experts to be potentially the next world power if it is able to hold its head high against the age- old domination of the United States of America and can successfully survive certain economical problems that it has been facing over a considerably long period of time. But within a very short while, the whole country has shown a massive development in all possible fields of work. Large scale industrialization and increasing employment opportunities have lead to an acute improvement in its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and has also expanded the per capita income of its citizens. Amidst so much progress and achievement, India has effectively established its trade relationship with a number of foreign countries. Simultaneously, the whole Indian economy has become a very profitable market for the foreign investors considering its status of being the largest democracy in the world. The rising population offers a huge demand for different necessary as well as luxurious products because of which every foreign entrepreneur is targeting the Indian market to make big business. So, looking at the growing relationship of the country with various other nations of the world, it has become a compulsion for the people of India to develop a firm and adequate knowledge of the English language so that they are able to deal with the foreign clients effectively and can diversify their business further. As such, a number of English medium schools have been set up in various cities and towns of the country together with the establishment of numerous training institutes rendering classes on English language. Several teachers are being recruited in various English medium schools as well as in these learning centres for both part time and full time classes. Now, each of these educational institutes have their own job criteria based on which they appoint teachers with the desired qualification. Some schools recruit part time teachers with a mere graduate degree. But the full timers are mandatorily required to have completed their B.Ed course before applying for a job in such schools. But in other institutes, even people who have completed Masters from a recognized university but are without a B.Ed degree can get appointed as full time teachers. So, one needs to possess a high educational qualification to teach English in India if one is looking to get appointed in one of these high schools. The aforesaid job requirements, however, are only for the affiliated English medium schools which come directly in the list of registered institutes under CBSE and ISCE Boards. Apart from such reputed academic establishments, there are a number of small English tutorials where even a student currently engaged in a graduate or a post graduate course can take up a job. But the only eligibility condition in this case is that he or she should have a commanding hold over the English language so that he or she may teach the language to the concerned pupils correctly and efficiently. One may even find a volunteer in India who has come from abroad to render expert training sessions on the English language especially in these teaching institutes.
