If you live indoors, whether you live alone, with a partner/roommate, or with a large family including small children or defenseless pets, you are concerned about a home invasion with intent to steal belongings or harm the people inside. So, individuals and families in your position purchase all of the alarms, locks, and security features they can think of that are positioned inside of the home. The problem is that these devices are excellent at one aspect of the dangers of this world; they can only warn the home renter or owner as someone is entering or after they have already entered. Only when the residents aren't home or are asleep are these types of devices remotely comforting as warnings of danger. When the residents aren't home, the device can warn the neighbors of a trespasser in the neighborhood and warn the police that someone's home is being or has been recently invaded. However, when the residents are at home and they are asleep, the alarm ignites their fight or flight adrenal response that can have them either hiding in a closet calling 911 or facing off with an intruder that results in one or the both of them hurt in the end. So, why don't more people consider the many ways that outdoor surveillance can save them the hassle and worry of someone making it all the way into their home? Outdoor surveillance isn't just a porch light or small, stationary strobe lights around the yard to help the homeowners or renters see what's outside and feel as though there are fewer shadowy places for anyone to hide. Light doesn't stop someone from walking up to a door and breaking it in or picking the lock. This is why both levels of security are pertinent for safety; that is, locks and alarms are great for keeping the family safe but the security has to start outdoors for added effectiveness. Outdoor surveillance is typically focused on the type of camera and its capabilities such as motion detection, night vision and there positions around a property to eliminate all blind spots. Outdoor surveillance isn't just about keeping the bad guys out; it is also about keeping one's family safe. These monitors and recording devices can help a homeowner keep an eye or an ear out for their children or guests at the pool while they get snacks or on their pets when they let them explore the yard. In this technological age there is no reason anyone shouldn't know their property and who is on it at all times. Outdoor surveillance can be a great addition to your home or business security.
