It is important to ensure as built survey is done accurately. Other surveys are done before or during the project while as built surveying is done after the project to determine the accuracy or difference in plans. The process is used for all kinds of properties from commercial to residential, and is important for future maintenance. The other reason is to show that regulations for things like evacuation plans were followed. A good surveyor therefore builds ensures that he uses the best technology to ensure as built drawings are done in the most accurate manner. They are often three dimensional, so inaccuracy from one dimension of the plan, can make a huge difference in the final drawing. Inaccurate drawings will make it difficult when trying to reconcile plans in future. To dimensional structures may not give the best picture in some situations. A three dimension figure is better at capturing the accuracy and inaccuracy of the entire structure. When choosing someone to do the as built survey, you need to not only ensure they are qualified but they have some professional experience. A surveyor needs to have more than just a certification.
