You have just become a parent, so now you have to understand your baby, feed it and take care. Your kid’s health and well-being depends on you. Baby feels your love with skin. That’s why skin requires tender care, and children’s cosmetics in this case are just necessary. Be very serious and attentive when buying cosmetics for taking care about babies’ skin. Here are some peculiarities of babies’ skin you should know about: - oil-bags in kids don’t work, babies don’t have protective lipid layer, so their skin becomes dry very quickly; - kids often tend to have skin irritations; - kid’s skin is more sensitive to negative influence of the surrounding, that’s why it needs special protection. High quality children’s cosmetics mustn’t contain paraffin oils – such products as vaseline, ceresin, paraffin and microcrystalline wax. When these products get on skin, they turn into water – and airproof film. Obviously, it negatively affects skin humidity regulation and cell regeneration. It’s great if cosmetics for babies contain olive, soy or almond oil – these components positively affect baby’s skin, recover its surface and make it tender and smooth. As a rule, modern mothers use one-time diapers. In this case keeping baby’s skin moist for a long time is very important. Unfortunately, even children’s soap makes skin dry and makes it more vulnerable. That’s why specialists recommend using oils or lotions and special napkins. Don’t put a diaper on a baby right after you take off the previous one. Let kid’s skin breath for 5-7 minutes. To prevent your child from having irritations in skin folds, use powder (take a piece of a cotton wool to use it as a puff). But be careful not to use too much of powder as it can cause skin dryness and desquamation. If you didn’t manage to avoid skin reddening and irritation, crèmes with panthenol will help you. To prepare your baby’s skin for normal functioning during the day, don’t ignore morning procedures. Use oils instead of crèmes – this will help you to avoid desquamation and make skin smooth and elastic. Also, according to many cosmetics reviews, taking care of baby’s skin during walks is very important. Mothers should protect their children from negative influence of wind and cold. Choosing cosmetics for children is not an easy thing to do, and parents should be very careful and attentive. If you have no idea about what products to buy, you can look through cosmetics reviews and find out what manufacturers are not worth dealing with. The best option is to buy cosmetics in special stores where knowledgeable consultants will give you useful recommendations. If you ask me, I will tell you that it’s better to buy products manufactured by famous companies that have many years of experience in this industry. Talk to your friends, participate in forum discussions – I’m sure you will find tips.
