Inside iOS 6 Roundup: Facebook, Photos, Mail and More June 16, 2012 Cam Bunton Leave a comment You may or may not have been aware that over the past weekwe've been running a series of articles taking an in depthlook at the key features in iOS 6. Since we're aware thatmany of you are busy all week, we thought it'd be a good ideato give you one page with links to everything we've coveredso far. To save any rambling, I'll get straight to it (eachtitle is a link to the original article): Facebook Integration With iOS 5 we got Twitter ingrained deep in to the software.Although it's been a great addition, many questioned whyFacebook wasn't there. Thankfully, it will be in the officiallaunch of iOS 6, and will make posting and sharing images andthoughts so much easier.
New App Store The App Store gets a massive and much needed redesign in the newiPhone operating system. Not only is it prettier, it's alsomuch more efficient. It no longer kicks you out of the store whendownloading apps, also, it won't ask you for your logindetails when updating existing apps. Maps In a bold move, Apple kicked the worldwide standard Google Maps outof its default apps list. Instead, replacing it with an in-housedesigned program taking data from TomTom and a new 3D modelingprogram from C3 Technologies.
Not only is it quicker, but alsofeatures the long awaited voice navigation. Photo Stream Sharing Maybe not as desired as the previous features, but usefulnonetheless. You can now share Personalised Photo Album through Photo Stream,Apple's cloud based pic storage space in the sky. Clock app on the iPad I know, I know, why the heck wasn't it there before?We'll let bygones be bygones and just be grateful that wefinally have a really great clock app on our Apple tablet.
