Dune Restaurant is another another very stylish restaurant with internationally acclaimed chef and Restauranteur Jean-Georges Vongerichten running the kitchen. The restaurant is situated overlooking the white sandy beach and boasts dramatic ocean views the restaurant offers a blend of French -- Asian Cuisine but with local produce also included to give it the authentic Bahamian feel. On Grand Bahama Island you will find bars and restaurants to everyones taste, there is a bar called Shenanigans Irish Pub, which is the only pub to serve Imported Dublin Draft Guinness in the Bahamas its desighn is that os a traditional irish pub so therefore ver informal and perfect for a relaxing pre or post dinner drink or even to stay and have a bite to eat from the menu which features traditional irish food and also other delights from all over the world, there are many events which take place in the bar including Saint Patricks Day celebrations. If you are looking for a more traditional evening why not enjoy the Goombaya Show which is held in Freeport, Grand Bahama, it is a theatre show with dinner included, you will be wowed by the Bahamian music which is called Bantu Rhythm and it is the traditional music from Africa to make this music they will use goatskin drums, there are also Rake n scrape bands which perform this music and they use instruments which are created from Washtubs, Saws and Combs, other instruments used are Cowbells, drums and Whistles, all the musicians dress in brightly colored costumes and you can dance the night away with to the traditional Rhythm of the Bahamas. There is a very large choice of nightlife in the Bahamas and these mentioned are but a few, there is lots of traditional events, formal and fine dining or just nice relaxing casual bars for a drink and a bite to eat and watch the sunset over the beautiful ocean.
