Tirupati and Tirumala are these places well-known to all Indians. Sri Venkateshwara, the presiding deity of Tirumalaor engadam, is revered by lakhs of individuals everywhere in the country. About the Deity: Balaji - Krishna The city of Tirupati Balaji is considered probably the most sacred place in India. Brahmotsava FestivalFestivals: Everyday is an afternoon of celebration at Tirumala. Probably the most well-known is the once a year competition called `Brahmotsava`, celebrated on grand scale for 9 days in September, and attracts pilgrims and tourists from all over. The fifth and 9th days of the competition are particularly vital in as much as Garudostavam and Rathotavam occurs on these days.
