The tenth step in learning how to become a millionaire is to put yourself out there. If you really want to be a millionaire, you probably want to do it sooner rather than later. Push towards your goals. Find ways to make more money. Find ways to save more money. Find ways to invest money more intelligently. Each little bit, every little step helps you along the path to wealth. The eleventh step in learning how to become a millionaire is to Use these steps together. In the first year let's say you earn a forty thousand dollar salary and invested ten percent of that on a monthly basis. End result is four thousand one hundred and forty nine dollars and ninety three cents. In the second year you increase your salary to forty four thousand dollars. You invest ten percent on a monthly basis, coupled with earnings on the four thousand one hundred and forty nine dollars and ninety three cents already saved. Result is nine thousand and fifty nine dollars and thirty cents. Not too impressive yet. But after just ten years of saving in the same manner, you would have invested sixty three thousand seven hundred and forty nine dollars and a few cents, and would have a cash balance of ninety one thousand three hundred and twenty dollars. Not bad, but it is still not a million. After twenty years of consistent saving and investment, you would have input two hundred and twenty nine thousand and ninety seven dollars and would have four hundred and thirty nine thousand five hundred and sixty two dollars which is nearly halfway there. After twenty six and a quarter years on the same course, the result would be four hundred and forty eight thousand six hundred and forty dollars with just over a million dollars available. If you started when you were twenty, you'll be a millionaire at forty-six with the option to retire. The twelfth step in learning how to become a millionaire is to keep on doing what you're doing. As you continue to build wealth and get closer to your goals, you will feel pleased with your progress and eventually you'll have a million dollars. Depending on how you want to spend the rest of your life, though, you might want to have more. Every small step that you take now will affect where you are twenty, thirty, forty years down the road. You can absolutely be a millionaire. You might decide to shoot for billionaire. That will be your choice. Be consistent, take advantage of compound interest as much as possible, and just enjoy the journey getting there.
