Food & Beverages,Travel & Tourism,Hobbies
If you are in the Hamptons and are looking for a place to dine, there are many wonderful Hamptons restaurants available. Everything from American fare to pizza to French cuisine can be found here. A great number of people, particularly those not familiar with the area, are pleasantly surprised that Hamptons restaurants offer such a wide choice dining options without the hefty price tag. Many of the restaurants have kid-friendly service as well as healthy options.

Sam's, located in East Hampton, was established in 1947 by Sam Naska and family. Catering to locals, this restaurant specializes in Italian cuisine served in generous portions. There are many menu-favorites that keep patrons coming back for more. Notable are the fresh Greek salad served with feta, olives, peppers, cucumbers, etc. All salads are made with the freshest ingredients and are served with the dressing of your choice. Additional favorites include pizza, of course, which can be made on a whole wheat crust, and the eggplant parmesan. Lunch is served on a seasonal basis. Dinner is served daily from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. The atmosphere casual and friendly.

Hampton Chutney Co. at Amagansett Square has been in business since 1997. This restaurant serves South Indian dosas, which are large, crispy sourdough crepes made from rice, and uttapam which is the same rice batter as dosa but in a pancake form. The chutney comes in six rich and intriguingly complex flavors including peanut, curry, pumpkin, cilantro, tomato and mango. They are a delicious addition for many of the sandwiches that t he restaurant serves. The restaurant, in addition to the traditional potato masala filling for the dosas, offers a variety of vegetable and cheese fillings at your request. A breakfast menu is also available. Upon arriving to the restaurant, be advised that you may encounter a long line, however, the calming background Indian devotional chants and airy ambience invoke a very calm atmosphere. Children may entertain themselves with Stuffies and books. It is open seven days from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

For the seafood lovers, Brewster's Seafood Market is definitely the place. This Hamptons restaurant offers a full retail seafood market and an eat-in or carry-out option. Lobster is their specialty. Their hard shell lobster comes from Northern Maine and Canada. Brewsters offers delivery to local private and rental homes, local beaches, and offices. The market has the freshest seafood in the Hamptons. Swordfish, tuna, scallops (sea and bay), founder, amongst others are brought in by local baymen and freshness is guaranteed. The smokehouse gives the seafood a truly unique taste. The fish is smoked on-site. The fishmonger selects only the finest cuts of local fish such as yellow fin tuna, codfish, etc. In the restaurant the chefs take your selection from the retail display which means you are being served the freshest seafood in t he Hamptons. The menu is also available for to-go orders. The restaurant is open all year, seven days a week.

The Southampton Social Club offers many different types of dining options, be it for a lunch or dinner date to an extravagant party, you are sure to be pleased with this choice. This Hamptons restaurant has a menu that offers an array of choices to include an appetizers menu consisting of roasted heirloom tomato bisque, crab cake, social club salad or a classic Caesar salad. Entrees gracing the menu include homemade butternut squash ravioli, spiced rum tenderloin, half maple roast chicken, to name a few. To further please your palate, you can choose one (or more) of their delectable desserts. You could select white chocolate mousse, warm chocolate soufflé, Junior's deconstructed cheesecake, and Tate's chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches. For toasting your event or a simple after meal drink, a wonderful choice of cocktails, extensive wine list or VIP bottle service is available. Friday night features live music with $25.00 three-course dinner prix-fixe menu available all night. Saturday night features the industry's top DJs with the $25.00 three-course prix-fixe menu available. Both nights have late night happy hour from midnight until 4:00 a.m.

As you can see, your choices for dining options for Hamptons restaurants is virtually limitless. It really is a matter of deciding what fare fits your fancy for that day and then deciding from there which restaurant will suit you best.
