The NGOs in India plays a very vital and important role in the development of the rural areas. For the development of the rural areas it is very important that the rural population gets the basic and primary education. Education is the source of well being and development of a person. Education is the limelight that can take India to its desired goal. It has only being sixty-five years that India had become independent. After the independence India had faced many challenges and it is still facing the challenges. The challenges are in different fields like illiteracy, unemployment, recession etc. We have to first understand that illiteracy and education are two different terms and have different meaning as well. The first step towards education is to become literate. In India a NGO can help the rural population to overcome the challenge of illiteracy and make the rural people educated. The NGOs used to work as a helping hand to the Indian government to face the challenges but they work independently. The NGOs put all types of efforts to help the rural children in educating them. This requires tireless effort every day and on regular basis. The children are motivated and made to come and seat in the classes that are being organized by them. For proper and sustainable rural development in India the proper primary education of the rural population is important. Here comes the role of NGOs with their endless efforts and support. The Friends of Tribal Society (FTS) is one of the NGO in India that work day and night for the upliftment of the backward and the rural population of India. How NGOs are important When it comes to charity in India the NGOs are the first independent body to take initiative. To bring the underserved and the backward population to a standard level India need to take the help of charity. The children who work as a child labor or live in slum areas for them the basic and primary education is a must. They can be shown the limelight of education with the help of charity in India. The NGOs create and develop a nurturing and supportive environment that helps the slum children to cope up with the environment. We all know that the rural children are deprived of their share of love. Their parents are also not able to provide them their rights. In this situation the rural schools are the place where they can get the education as well as the love and affection from the teachers. Education System Followed by different NGOs The NGOs offer donation education to the children of the rural population. The rural people are made to understand the importance of education. They are made realized that getting educated is their fundamental right. The NGOs have trained teachers to offer the basic and primary education to the rural population. With the help of donation education the NGOs run their process of providing education smoothly. Therefore, to erase the curse of illiteracy and make the country educated we have to take initiative.
