Handwritten notes, sketches and changes are seen noted on this drawing. Significance of As-built Drawing One may wonder why as-built drawings are still needed when there is already an original drawing. However, this piece of work has a significant role as this serves as a visual record of the modifications made by the project builder. As in any other building process, original plans will always encounter unforeseen issues thus the need for pursuing another plan. That can’t go without being documented especially if the building is for commercial purposes or any other huge building project. The technicalities needed in completing as-built surveying alone are indeed challenging. That only means that the task must be performed by a professional.
