Canada is being seen as the most promising breeding ground for the immigrant population in Canada. The immigration policy also intends to bring-in skilled workforce that is qualitative on account of education, professional expertise, skills-set, language and age. The FSWP ‘Federal Skilled Worker Program’ has recently made amendments to the age and language criteria. The amendments on the official language proficiency are done with a view to have immigrants who can adapt well to the local demography. The Federal Skilled Workers visa also makes it mandatory to have proficiencies on the official language as part of the assessment program. As per the guidelines the applicant should provide a certificate on official language proficiency by an authorized agency as approved by CIC ‘Citizenship and Immigration Canada’. The test score would be added to the over-all points tally on the Point Based assessment of the applicant’s eligibility status. It is therefore very important for the intending migrant to know about what is third-party language test Canada Federal Skilled Worker Program? The objective with this test is to know the adaptability levels of the intending migrant in the present job and the how he or she communicates at the work place. It is very important for the applicant to first take the third-party language test for the Federal Skilled Worker Program by a CIC approved agency at Canada. The applicant needs to pay the cost of the test himself. The total scores on the third party language test will be added to the cumulative scores on the Point Based Assessment. Without the score on official language comprehension, the immigration application shouldn’t quality for further processing. It is also very important to note that the third-party language test should ‘not’ be sent directly to the CIO ‘Centralized Intake Office’. The applicant should provide a certificate on official language proficiency by an authorized agency as approved by CIC ‘Citizenship and Immigration Canada’. A few of such agencies are Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP), International English Language Testing System (IELTS), TEF ‘Test Evaluation de Francais’. It is also very important to know that the language test will be taken for the comprehension and expression aspect. It is very necessary to have a good grip on the official language both in terms of comprehension and expression.
