Mount Carmel College The women’s liberal arts college was established by Carmelite Sisters of St.Teresa in 1948, right after India got its independence. Initially there were only 50 students on roll, which changed soon as the college grew in reputation and campus with time. In its infancy, the college operated from a single building that consisted of all the classrooms, library, administrative offices and other basic facilities. Presently the college has a vast campus spread over several acres of lands, divided into various blocks dedicated to a different discipline.
