The Love Legend of Christmas Colorful flashing lights, beautiful decorated trees, special discount sales, whispering lovers, all these tell you that Christmas is coming. Though, I never celebrate this festival, I like the atmosphere of Christmas gives to me .I think it is a magical day when love stories take place everywhere, girls who have boyfriends expecting their lovers’ new gifts, girls without lovers may met their Mr. Right in this special day. Nazarenes celebrate the birthday of their lord, but the normal people celebrate this day just because they are in love, they want to be with people they loved, family, friends, and lovers. In fact, there is a love legend about Christmas that few people know. The story is about a handsome count named Otto, he is so pride that he cannot take any beauty in his mind, and he was called “a heart of steel” by people around him. One day, when he hunted in a forest, he found a pure spring which made him want to drink, but when he put his hand into the spring, he felt a tender hand touch his finger, and he found his ring was gone when he pull his hand out the spring, .Otto was very angry and he ordered his subordinates pumped dry the spring but nothing found in the bottom of it ,all this made Otto feel very strange but didn’t know how to find the answer .In the next day , when he slept in his bed , he heard melody came from his yard , then a lots of footsteps from his next door , he got up and came to the next door , what he saw is the fairyland in the world : a big pine tree, decorated by gold, silver and jewelry; numerous beautiful girls dancing there, Otto earl was staring at all of these, and felt he was in his dream. Suddenly, the girls stopping dancing and a fairy-looking girl came out and looked at him languishingly said she was the queen of fairy spring, she felt graceful that Otto gave her his ring at that day; she hoped to return him this gifts. Otto was fascinated by the girl’s lovely face and wonderful voice, so he kneeing upon the girl and made a propose, the girl accepted his propose and asked him never said the word “die” to her, Otto agreed and they Held a wedding under the big well decorated tree, it is said that it is the first Christmas tree in the world and that day is December.24th, the Christmas Eve. Otto and the girl has a happy life after they got married until one day Otto said the word “die ” to his wife accidently ,his beautiful wife including the decorated tree was disappeared as soon as he got his last word . Infinite regret and great sadness and loss filled with Otto's heart, He vainly looking for his wife throughout the castle and fairy spring but he got nothing, he barely found anything can prove his wife has ever existed. Since that day, in every Christmas Eve, Otto putting a gorgeous and beautiful Christmas tree in his yard, looking forward to his wife could return to him, but his dream was never came true till he was die. His families put Christmas tree every Christmas Eve after he died, hoped the spirit of he and his wife can reunite under the tree. This love tragedy tells us we must cherish people we loved and keep the promise to our lovers, if you already have someone to celebrate Christmas day, please hold his/her hands closely, don’t makes your love become an infinite regret and wait; if you are single, please don’t give up, awaiting with good hope, just likes the best Christmas decorations always take more time to find, the available one is worthy of long time wait.
