Education

Education is investment in to the future. Further life of a person depends of education. Education determines what work you will get, what goals will be achieved. Sure, prestige of a university plays a huge role. Millions of school leavers are concerned with the problem of choosing a good university. They thoroughly read university reviews, consult with family members and friends, surf on the web trying to find tips. Yeas, not that easy thing to do! The worst thing is that education always depends on your wealth. In this article I’m going to tell you about the best and the most prestigious universities in the world. 1. Harvard University was founded in 1636 and is considered to be the oldest university in the US. The university includes 12 colleges and faculties, the most prestigious ones are medical, law and economic ones. More than 30 grads became winners of the Noble prize. Every year 18,000 students from United States and 100 countries enter Harvard University. One year of studying costs here $42,000. 2. Stanford University is one of the most well-known universities in the world. It’s famous for its prestigious business education. Stanford graduates are founders of many IT companies (e.g., Sergey Brin and Larry Page are founders of Google Corporation). 3. Cambridge is the second oldest university in Europe. It was founded in 1209. It includes over 100 departments and 30 colleges. Every year 17,000 students study here, and 17% of them are foreigners. Since 1904 scientists from Cambridge university have won 82 Noble prizes. 4. Massachusetts Institute of Technology was established in 1861. During the Second World War this university became more prestigious because its students and professors were involved into different military research programs. This is the most well-known technical university in the world. 63 of its graduates became Noble prize winners. 5. Princeton University was founded in 1746. Today, there are over 4,500 students in the university. More than 400 teach here. Princeton University is also known for joining Google book digitization program. Libraries of this educational institution contain over 6 million books, 5 million manuscripts and over 2 million other materials. 6. University of Oxford takes special place in university reviews. This university, that was founded in 1096-1167, is an example of perfect European education. University of Oxford includes 39 independent colleges. More than 3,700 teachers work at this institution; 100 of them are members of British Academy of Science. Sure, studying at these universities requires serious expenses, and not everyone can afford that. Although, high quality education can’t be cheap, so it doesn’t matter whether you will study – you’ll have to pay anyway. The main thing to remember about when choosing a university should be your preferences – nothing else. And if you are really sure you can achieve success, you will find money to make it happen.
