Got the Dell Streak 7 just a week ago and spent one whole night customizing it. Now before getting this, let me to say the change is insane. Great product recommend it if do not have a need for a voice phone. You need data only. It is very fast web response. It is highly recommended. What Criteria to Choose the Dell Streak i. What I like are: 1. It is the 7 inch format. Definitely is more portable vs. the 10 inch tablets. The larger 10-inch tablets are not exactly portable. If I wanted that, I would carry my laptop. 2. 4g is technically called but it is just as fast. The 4g speeds are incredible. I love being able to go anywhere and use this thing. No need for monthly subscription plans. 3. It has a fast processor. Processing speed is fantastic. 4. It is ready access to the Google Apps Marketplace. 5. It has GPS. 6. It has Gorilla Glass. 7. Flash Player works great. Apple would not let you view flash based websites. The Streak 7 has no problem loading the full desktop version of Cnn & Espn websites. Plus this tablet will get Honeycomb 3.0 when it comes out thanks to the Tegra 2 dual core processor. There is no tablet that can compete with this one at the moment. 8. Take an SD card. It is a FULL SIZE SD CARD, Wonderful!. Can view photos quickly directly from my SLR (jpg, it is not Raw yet that I know of). 9. The battery life is great. I am the type to be surfing for more than 6 hrs. Why Battery Life is great? I use this all day at work, checking email, taking notes and it lasts until I get home. That is better than most phones if you overuse them. ii. What I do not like are: 1. The screen resolution beside from the brighter screen resolution which I think an additional 100$ does not justify. There is not much difference. It is not a huge deal for me but you can definitely see the difference when compared to other tablets. It is not a big fan of the Dell Interface. However, you can replace that in the market for free. Download the ADW launcher to customize it or any other home screen. 2. Dell using proprietary connectors vs. usb/mini-usb. There are no USB connectors. It would be kind of nice to simply attach a keyboard if I have a ton of notes to take. Bluetooth works fine though and the keyboard is pretty nice. This stock comes on the Streak. 3. HDMI would have been nice. There is No HDMI out. Not that I would use it but it is on others. 4. It has not set up to tether (make as a hot spot for others) yet. This can probably be done using a market app but you may have to be rooted to do so. I did a lot of research prior to buying the Dell Streak 7. The Xoom and Tab have better screen resolution. But, for about the same price of a Nook Color, I got a 1 gig dual core processor and access to T-Mobile's 4g network w/o a subscription. I bought this tablet after playing with it in a T-mobile store. I also tried the Samsung Galaxy Tab too while I was there. This thing blows the Tab out the water as far as performance goes. The Tab has better graphics due to its 1024 by 600 displays. But for me it was no brainer to get the Streak. I was going to get the Motorola Xoom but its priced way too high and seeing as my Streak 7 pretty much has nearly the same specs as the Xoom. I just cannot see wasting nearly $900 for the Xoom. All in all, I am extremely happy with my purchase. The Cons are just nitpicked items to make it perfect. I have owned several Android phones. If you are new to Android, this may take you some time to get used to and find all the great apps. Android is not as intuitive as the iPad but it is more customizable.
