The Airport and Airway Trust Fund are providing funds for capital improvements to the US airport and airway system in the United States. Therefore, if they fail to make reasonable efforts to collect the tax that has been imposed, transportation providers are subject to penalties. An important aspect which has to be taken into consideration is being represented by the fact that there is no disclosure requirement with regard to air freight tax in the United States. Also, there has to be kept in mind that, on the other hand, air freight companies are being required to factor in an additional 0.1 cent leaking underground storage tank trust fund tax as well, besides the fuel taxes. Pay attention to the fact that it is recommended to make sure that you are aware of all the taxes involved within an air freight company before signing up for its services. It is important as well to be considered that, even though there are several taxes which are being required to be paid in order for one to apply for the air freight services, there are as well many benefits involved within the transportation of goods by air.
