Martin Garage Doors are a horse whisperer of a different sort. No garage door whispers better to the animal than a Martin does, as a recent illustration suggests. Martin Garage Doors were installed on a horse barn at the Wasatch County Fairgrounds in Heber City, Utah. Close by at the indoor arena, a competitor’s doors are found. The reaction of horses to the two different kinds of garage doors is discernable, according to Doug Smith, grounds superintendent for the Wasatch County facility. When horses are in the indoor arena and hear the other brand doors move up and down, they react, Smith said. “They jump around,” Smith said. Jumpy horses are much more difficult to manage. By contrast, the Martin Garage Doors at the neighboring barn with the indoor stalls cause almost no reaction. “They don’t even seem to bother them,” Smith said of any discernable noise from the Martin Garage Doors. The incident isn’t relegated to just a few horses either. Smith said the facility can house from 500 to 600 horses at any one time during a typical rodeo or other equestrian event. He admits a couple hundred skittish horses, from a loud door, can cause some issues. Martin boasts their door as the world’s quietest garage door. In essence it whispers in its operational mode, while others grind, whine and rattle. Horses appear to be able to tell the difference. The doors on both facilities are commercial size doors. Many other brand doors only make their quiet parts on the residential lines.
