Today's main shopping areas include Tanglin Mall which houses Tanglin Market Place, a gourmet supermarket cum bakery and Tasty Food Court which serves 15 varieties of local cuisine. The Orchard Central is Singapore's first vertical mall and features a distinctive exterior showcasing work by local artist Matthew Ngui. The mall houses the world's tallest indoor Via Ferrata climbing wall, a large collection of public art installations by international artists and a 24/7-operational Roof Garden and Discovery Walk. 313@somerset is directly linked to the Somerset MRT station and features a concentration of mid-range retail and dining outlets such as Zara, Uniqlo, New Look, Esprit and a Forever 21 flagship store. DFS Galleria is located in Scotts Road and specializes in luxury items such as Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, Hermès, Loewe and Bvlgari. ION Orchard's distinctive glass façade doubles as a giant media screen. This upscale mall features flagship stores for Prada, Giorgio Armani, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Cartier and Patek Philippe. Ngee Ann City is the largest shopping mall along Orchard Road. It houses boutiques such as Vacheron Constantin, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Burberry, Loewe and Chanel as well as the Japanese department store, Takashimaya. Here's where you'll find Books Kinokuniya, Southeast Asia's second largest bookstore. Looking for something for the kids? Check out Forum Shopping Mall specializes in branded children's clothes and accessories. There's even aToys "R" Us on the third floor. Forum also has a number of branded boutiques such as Emporio Armani and Dolce and Gabbana for parents as well.
