While it is easy to dismiss airsoft guns as being merely the toys of children who have been overly influenced by the glorification of guns in television programs and action movies, the reality is that there is a large and thriving community of people for whom airsoft guns are a hobby about which they are very passionate. When using airsoft shotguns, your hand is always on the pump, which is also the part of the gun that you use to reload after having fired a shot. A pistol or rifle, on the other hand, requires that you move your hand to the slide or a charging handle in order to get the gun ready to fire the next shot.
