"Out of Time" is basically what the other shows including Heroes will be after the writers' strike is in its full swing. Coincidentally, that is the title of episode 2.7 of the not-so-highly watched series. Finally, this episode brings us what we have all been waiting for--real Heroes action. Yes, we have been tired of repeating it over and over again--fans have been disappointed at what Heroes have become today. But let's check back with "Out of Time," which is starting to live up what Heroes should really be. Basically, "Out of Time" addressed all the issues fans had with the new season, including minimal Hero interaction, blurred storylines and dull new characters. Well Heroes finally got into full swing tonight as Mr. Bennet (HRG), Niki and Mohinder (two season 1 Heroes in one scene, finally!) get together to talk about a major Company rundown. Moreover, they meet up with Parkman and Nathan (is this a reunion or what?), and the group finally plan to take down the Nightmare Man. Some sentimental scenes include Parkman at comatose Molly's side, while his love for the little girl causes her to sort of wake up. Other highlights include the Nightmare Man messing with Niki's brain, showing her images of D.L. and thus making her extremely mad. Meanwhile, somewhere in the future, Peter and Caitlin are being harassed by a bunch of people in weird suits. Peter later encounters his mother, who re-lectures him on who he is and how he's supposed to save the world! All it took was for her mini-lecture and he gets flashbacks, and finally remembers who he is. Peter then flies back to the present. Meanwhile, Hiro discovers that White Beard gave half the country and Yaeko to Kensei, and that Kensei wanted to change history. Too bad, Hiro has gone ahead and did that with The Kiss. So after Kensei vows to destroy everything Hiro loves, White Beard's army is destroyed and Hiro goes back to the present to the loving presence of Ando, who greets him with bad news--Hiro's father is dead. As for our cheerleader, Claire made a boo-boo and ended up on the daily paper, powers and all. West finally encounters HRG, whom he thinks is his abductor. An enraged HRG found the paper and says they need to move out of town again. The next episode of Heroes will finally give us a peek into what had transpired within the four-month jump between the two seasons.
