So far, ABC has been successful in coming up with amusing, if not highly-watched shows. For instance, Dancing with the Stars have become a hit amongst audiences young and old, while The Bachelor has proven to have survived more than ten seasons (it's been that long already?!). Today, these two shows are back on air, but they will be running for a shorter season than the previous ones. So what will happen to the extra time ABC has up on their schedule? They recently announced that October Road and Notes from the Underbelly will be filling in the holes with their second installments, and Drew Lachey's new dance show, Dance War is set to finally go in air. Dance War will first hit the airwaves on Monday, January 7 at 8pm, filling in the same time as Dancing with the Stars. After the highly-watched show ends on November 26, the network will be replacing it with holiday specials. Scheduled to run for a six-week run, Dance War features judges Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba going up against each other as they lead dance teams in the competition. Drew Lachey, the host of the new show, emerged victorious in season 2 of Dancing with the Stars, and has become a fan favorite as a co-host. ABC is also ready to launch season 2 for two midseason shows from last year. Notes from the Underbelly and October Road had received decent ratings, mostly because it was placed after Grey's Anatomy timeslot, but nonetheless, the shows got renewed for a second run. October Road returns on Thursday, November 22 at 10pm for its premiere and will be moved to Mondays at 10pm on November 26 for the rest of its run. Notes from the Underbelly, on the other hand will premiere on November 26 at 9:30pm, as Samantha Who? will be moved to 9pm.
