Despite being on a strict time table, the production of season 7 of 24 can't help but take the backseat as destructive wild fires have been hitting San Diego in the past two days. The shooting of season 7 of the highly watched series has been interrupted, and some plans have also been changed. Kiefer Sutherland, along with the production team were supposed to visit the Marine Corp's El Toro Air Station to shoot some scenes, but the smoke in the area was too overwhelming for them to handle. The 24 producers were then forced to shoot some additional scenes on inside sets instead. So far, 24 hasn't been the only show to be affected by these fires, as CBS' Cold Case and ABC's Big Shots' production have also been interrupted. Some of the Simi Valley sets for Cold Case have been blown down by the strong winds in the area. Fans don't have to worry, though, as their favorite stars are fine. However, the same cannot be said about the thousands of people who have been evacuated in the area. The death toll is currently at 1, and we all hope that the number does not multiply in the days to come. Nonetheless, the firefighters and rescue workers will have everything under control as soon as possible. In other 24 news, the world premiere of Day 7 will be airing two days from now. On October 25, FOX will reveal the first hour of season 7 of 24. The big screen in Times Square will air the trailer at 1pm ET/10am PT, and will be available online shortly afterwards. In addition, the Game 2 of the World Series will also host the first on-air FOX promo for the upcoming season. Catch 24 on Sunday nights, 8/7c beginning on January 13 only on FOX.
