Whether a trip is just two cities away or across the world, a travel kit is an important part of one's necessities. It is almost as important as water and food. It also helps one save money while on the road. There are things one remembers to pack automatically and then there are those items that become important only once an individual realizes they are missing. One of the most important reasons to pack your own kit is to insure you have the items that you prefer. Individuals that stay in hotels are free to use the miniatures provided, but most people like specific brands or tools for personal upkeep. Traveling by bus or train provides a little leeway, but those traveling on planes need to follow the guidelines for packing liquid items. The obvious essential items to include are: Toothbrushes and Toothpaste - This protects teeth and gums, but also makes sure that one does not offend those with whom one interacts. Comb and Hairbrush - Without these items, a tendency towards looking like a bird has nested in hair could be a problem for going out in public. Body Lotion - It moisturizes dry skin and helps it look its best. Those with sensitive skin may only want to use certain brands. Cleanser and Facial Moisturizer - Most people are particular about what products go on their faces, so having the right cleanser and moisturizer can protect one from breakouts and allergic reactions. Shampoo and Conditioner - Once again, most hotels provide trial size versions, but without knowing the product ingredients, hair may not react well. There are some items that are pretty specific in use, including a fully stocked makeup bag, shaving kit, curling iron, flat-iron, and blow dryer. Be smart about packing and consider daily routine when packing a travel kit. Having your own items provides a sense of comfort when away from home and saves money.
