There are also small yachts that are driven both by wind and motor, the ones typically used by adventurers who ambitiously circumnavigate the globe using either of the two propulsion powers as needed.
Sailboats are wind-driven watercrafts popularly used in sports racing. Riding this type of watercraft requires a particular kind and level of seamanship skills in order to be able to compete in an otherwise dangerous adventure sport.
