It really does not make sense to work for someone else if you want to become self-employed. At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion. If you are planning on working for yourself then you will most likely spend your day doing things like repairing bathrooms and fixing leaks. The course you take will teach you a lot more but bathrooms are the main job of a plumber. You will learn things such as waste pipes come in a variety of sizes and which ones are compatible with which ones. Becoming a Salt Lake City plumber is an exciting and rewarding career.
