The Free SDA movement had very humble beginnings in the early 1900s, during the years when the Seventh Day Adventist Church was just starting out. Racism and segregation were rife in the United States in those days, and most of the members of the church at that time consisted of colored people, Latinos, and Hispanics. Things are very different today though, and the movement is now international, with a network of believers from all races, whose main aim is to preserve and improve the beliefs and faith of their church, as they were in the beginning. The teachings of the church are changing rapidly in these modern days, which is why this particular movement began, and, with absolute determination and passion, are adamant that they will retain the original beliefs of their faith precisely as they were when the church first started out. Another thing that they find very disturbing is the fact that their church leaders are forming relationships with other churches, whose faiths are vastly different to that of their own. They feel that many of these other people are unbelievers, and that there is a great danger of these close ties with other churches causing their unusual faith to fall by the wayside. The movement is growing on a daily basis worldwide, as many of its members, who are people from all ethnic groups, see the need to band together harmoniously to promote the word of God. However, in these modern times, just like long ago, these people, who are doing all they can to uphold the original teachings of their beloved church, are being persecuted unnecessarily, because of their adoration of the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy. So, things are not really that different today at all to the way they were long ago, which caused the existence of the Free SDA movement to start up initially. The Gilead Institute of America, Inc.
