With the liberalization of broadcasting industry, Star TV Network introduced five major channels like MTV, BBC, etc. Very soon, ZEE TV, the first privately - owned channel had started broadcasting through cable. ZEE TV is based in India. With the advent of Cable TV, consumers can watch both national and international channels like HBO, Star Movies, Discovery Channel, etc. Sun TV also introduced DTH services in India.
