Basketball craze has been sweeping the nation since the late 1890's. Two teams each composed of 5 players aims to shoot the basket into the baskets or hoops of the opposing team. Throughout the world, basketball is known and is being played. The most widely known league for basketball is the National Basketball Association. The attention of the NBA has been getting is from all over the world especially during the playoff's season. Miami Heats is fairly new in t he NBA. Along side the Timber wolves, the Hornets and the Magic, the Miami Heats was started as an expansion team in 1987. Early in their introduction to the big leagues, the Heat tickets have already seen the demand from the fans eager to have a team in Miami they can call their own. There was a rivalry born between the two teams based in Florida. Initially, there were only three slots that were up for bidding for the franchise. Bidding for the third slot was both Miami and Orlando. That is when the rivalry between the two cities really started. Both cities received the franchise since the committee was in a deadlock on whom to award the slot. There is a competition between the two teams to be the best team in the state of Florida. New players and coaching staff has been added in the past seasons to improve the performance of the team.
