Proud new parents across the UK and in many other countries around the world love nothing more than to dress their little ones up in designer kids' clothes. Such garments help to accentuate the cuteness of the tiny bundles of joy. One event that took place recently during which girls' clothes may well have received considerable attention was the launch of a contest for tots. The Oxford Mail Baby of the Year 2011 competition got underway in the John Allen Centre in Cowley. In the centre's Matalan store, parents congregated to show off their youngsters complete with their boys' and girls' clothes. The children all had their photographs taken by professional Mark Fraser. In order to get the little ones to pose for the images, plenty of "teddies, toys and tricks" were used, the publication revealed. All the pictures of the contestants along with their designer kids' clothes will be featured in the newspaper and readers will get the chance to vote for their favourites by text or by phone. The lucky winner of the competition will receive a trip to Disneyland Paris, which is based to the east of the French city and is almost always a hit with children to visit. The contest is free to enter and there are three age categories involved. The first includes babies aged nought to nine months, while the second incorporates ten to 18-month-olds and the third comprises 19 to 36-month-olds. Commenting on the day, Mr Fraser said: "We had a really busy morning and there were definitely some potential winners. I love it. They were all cute and they made me laugh." Meanwhile, doting mother Alison Brown, whose little one Imogen was entered into the challenge, remarked: "We just think Imogen is lovely, so we wanted to bring her along. And we really wanted a nice picture of her to keep."
