Atlanta Thrashers team report The NHL season play has proved the word:" win and you are in." After numerous game, there are three teams in it. The Thrashers had set their sights on a playoff appearance and yet again, they came up short that the audience could not remenber their Atlanta Thrashers. It's a result that is truly wearing thin with the club's dwindling fan base. With new coach Craig Ramsay at the helm, Atlanta began the season with a fresh start and a promising outlook. Scoring was always going to be a question mark, but Ramsay, a defensive stalwart during his playing days with the Buffalo Sabres, had insisted that his run-and-gun coaching system would produce plenty of offense. He was right, at times. The problem was, the learning curve for his new team was too big. Once they finally got it, it was too late. For the first half of the season Atlanta gave up 40 or more shots on a regular basis. It's hard to win games, when you're spending that much time in your own end. When Atlanta finally started to compete on a regular basis and reduce their opponents' scoring chances, the team's downward spiral had already begun. As a result, they are taking their talents to the golf course for the 10th time in the franchise's 11-year history. While there are several questions facing the Thrashers during the offseason, the biggest issue concerns the team's ownership. The club's current ownership group, the Atlanta Spirit, said they are actively seeking a buyer. Will they find somebody willing to take on the money-losing franchise? If so, will those new owners even keep the team in Atlanta? Let's foucus on it.
