There always appears to be something in the wind with the F1 Hoverpod Racing Team and 2011 is no exception. I have heard that the "Manx GT" craft has been sited somewhere being tested to beyone it's limits but when I call the press office at F1 Hoverpod Racing the only comment I get is "No Comment". I heard that a 100% new hull structure had been developed and a new method of weeving the fibre matting had given the product more strength and created a more rigid structure, can I get this confirmed by the team. No, is the simple answere. I spoke with a technition who was involved in the development of the engine and it's emission reducing methods and it's claim of up to 80% reduction in emission reduction and when asked is this really possible he said "Ask the development Team". The secrecy surrounding the project is staggering and appears water tight but then like all water tight systems we found a small leak. We did manage to view a test hull for the "Manx GT" and the one thing we did recognise was that it clearly is a two man racing vehicle. This is a clear and distinct change from the norm in Hovercraft racing and clearly displayes a different approach to racing a Hoverpod over the DIY and lesser products.
