When I came out of the elevator and saw Tim in the lobby, I gulped. It was clear that I had been out-prepared. Yves Saint Laurent Shoes time. I had on a long, wool business coat and leather gloves. I left the hat in the room, out of vanity for what it would do to my hair. I was carrying the ice spikes. Tim, on the other hand, had hiking boots, an insulated sport jacket, Yves Saint Laurent Patent Sandals in Claret backpack, a secondary bag, a tall beanie and a separate face mask with only the eyes cut out. Then, the coup de grace. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a giant pair of tinted ski goggles. "That's all you're wearing?" he said, and then turned around. "Here, dig into the bottom of my pack." Inside he had an extra sweater, an extra beanie and a thick scarf. He might also have had Yves Saint Laurent Patent Sandals in Deep Grey and pillows in there, for all I could tell. I gratefully took the beanie and scarf. As we emerged outside, I took two steps and went down in the first snowdrift. Tim pulled me out. This comedy routine was repeated several times before we finally reached the office door. I may be an Eagle Scout, but I'm also 5 foot, 9 inches. Tim's at least Yves Saint Laurent Patent Sandals in Light Grey.
