Is your local area full of trash, rubbish over the streets and dirty? Unlucky for you and your neighbours it is going to lay there if the community doesn't do anything about it, isn't it? Young or old, fit or unfit, a neighbourhood cleanup is something the whole area can become become part of. Not only does it cleanup your neighbourhood but it also brings communities together and a chance to make new friends. If there is nobody in the area who seems to take the initiative, then plan the event yourself! Don't be put off with the thought of being in charge of the activity, somebody has to lead and arrange the event. Using the excuse that you are too anxious to take the initiative means that the area is going to stay filthy and dull. Once you have made the resolution to arrange this event, contact your local authorities. It's best to check with them first, to avoid any issues in the future, not that there is likely to be. They may even offer you some good tips, as well. Organize a massive campaign to be sure the event attracts as many people as possible so that the whole area is covered. Inform the local community and try to capture their attention. Tell people well in advance so they can make arrangements to be there, then keep them informed as well as sending out reminders. Write up names of those who are volunteering on the day and try to hold a few meetings so organize everyone. A team of individuals work better as a team, so do not try and arrange it all by yourself. Write a list of what you need and also what and where you going to clean. Anyone can also dispose of things from their own house; it depends on what you agree. When choosing who is going to sort out which area, try to make sure that the workload is divided equally. It is wrong if everyone relies on just one individual to bring everything and take care of any problems, therefore avoid this scenario. Where you can have people bring their own materials for the day, there is no reason why you can't share resources, but try to make sure everyone contributes fairly. Put the community trash to a community bin, and so on. When trying to find the correct manager, try somebody with developed social network. Your agent can be useful. A party will without doubt get the neighbours together as friends, even if the cleanup itself doesn't!
