The age limits for plastic surgery have no boundaries in this modern age. These days, teenage girls and eighty-year old women are getting jumbo breasts via breast augmentation. The modern woman can have practically anything she wants thanks to plastic surgery. If she doesn’t like her nose or skin tone or breast size, she can simply hire a plastic surgeon to do a little slicing and dicing with his magical scalpel. Are there age restrictions for getting plastic surgery? Certainly not! Whether you're fifteen years old or eighty-three, you can have plastic surgery just like anyone else. And the most common plastic surgery procedure performed these days is breast augmentation. Courtship between a man and a woman requires physical attraction. There's really no denying that. For women, that fact is very frustrating, especially as they start to get a little older because their natural beauty begins to fade away and diminish. At that point, women start seriously considering plastic surgery. They basically want to feel young again, and they believe that getting plastic surgery can help them accomplish that goal. For young women, plastic surgery means to enhance the physical beauty they already have, and potentially fix any minor flaws that they feel they have. If their breasts are too small, they can get breast implants through breast augmentation surgery. If their nose is too big or too crooked or bent in a manner that displeases them, they can simply hire a nose surgeon and have it fixed. When it comes to breast augmentation, it may seem surprising that there are no age restrictions. The recommended minimum age is eighteen years old. Of course, that's just a recommendation - as of this writing there are no legal restrictions on the age of a woman wanting breast implants to the best of my knowledge. If a fifteen year old wanted to get breast implants and her legal guardians approved it, a plastic surgeon could perform the surgery. If you're considering breast augmentation at any age, the prime factor in determining whether or not you're an ideal candidate for surgery is not your age; it's whether or not your body is healthy enough to undergo the surgery and properly heal through the recovery process. Whether you're eighty years old or fifteen years old, the surgeon is primarily going to consider your overall health. He'll want to know about any past medical problems and any current medications you're currently taking. If you've been a smoker all your life and you're an older woman, chances are very high that you'll be rejected for the surgery. The problems associated with young women getting breast implants have to do mostly with the fact that their breasts aren't fully developed until they're in their early twenties. It's also been proven that most teenagers are not happy with their bodies until they get out of their teens. At that point, their self confidence goes up significantly with each passing year. The point is, almost all young girls are insecure with their bodies when they're in high school. If parents would allow their daughters to grow up a little before deciding to let them have plastic surgery, their daughters might not want the surgery once they gain a little self confidence. Whether young or old, breast augmentation surgery is a possibility for any woman. If you're healthy, chances are strong that you can get breast implants. Whether or not it's a good idea is entirely up to you! Learn more about plastic surgery at these pages: plastic surgery info, learn more about plastic surgery, and modern plastic surgery.
