When's a party a party and not a punch up or even worse a stabbing or killing? I have to ask my self, did I come to this party to die? Call me naive but a party is meant to be a place where you go to enjoy your self. Fear of it turning into something else shouldn't even come into the equation. How I long for nostalgia...... My fear is that with technology gadgets like mobile phones which are suppose to be an aid, and improve our overall intelligence; to some people I fear it's making them illiterate in terms of using abbreviations, and thus becoming aggressive and less tolerant and unwilling to talk things out diplomatically without resulting too either violence or being intimidating. And to make things worse, it would appear that slang language on the streets is a cool thing, this may be the case amongst your peers, but life should not, and will never only revolve around your peers, we exist in a much wider society, and as such need to have the social skills to make it in the wider society. but I fear without a proper command of the English language, there's the tendency for some to fall into the trap of thinking that this type of living is the norm. Have we as a society come all of this way in becoming civilized to reverting back to cave man times? What sort of lesson are we teaching our children?
