In June 2007, three of the most successful and experienced businesses in the Digital TV industry came together to form what is now known as the SCCi Group. In those three years, SCC International has continued to grow and develop its business in a range of key areas. One of the main ways SCCi has been expanding is by adding a range of new businesses and brands to the company’s portfolio. One such brand is Switchsure Finance Ltd., who are on hand to provide financial support for projects with limited funding from the clients. Woking Borough Council, Wiliam Sutton Homes, Broomleigh Housing Association and Downlands Housins Association are just some of the clients who have benefitted from Switchsure Finance’s flexible funding options. By far the biggest project concerning SCCi at the moment is the ongoing switchover from analogue TV signals to digital. The process has already been completed in several parts of the UK, with the Government looking to switch off the analogue signal permanently by the end of 2012. To cope with potential component shortages during the switchover, SCCi developed their own Paragon-branded switches and components, ensuring the smooth development and completion of SCCi’s installations. SCCi also provides installations of IPTV (Internet Protocol TV) and Integrated Reception Systems (IRS). SCCi have also launched Frequency Distribution Ltd., a TV Aerial component distribution company, who also provide excellent logistical support for SCCi’s installation programmes. In recent times SCCi has acquired a selection of big name clients from a wide range of different sectors; from giants of the leisure industry like Whitbread and Centre Parcs, to the biggest high street brands such as Tesco and John Lewis. SCCi is also a major player within the housing industry, providing installation and maintenance services for some of the UK’s biggest landlord agencies, including the Guinness Partnership, the Affinity Sutton Group, London & Quadrant, the Anchor Trust and the Peabody Trust. SCCi has grown tremendously over the last three years, and the expansion is set to continue into the foreseeable future. With around 300 employees working in four offices across the South East of England, and over 135 engineers based all over the nation, the SCCi Group can only get bigger and better.
