It is important to know that requirement of cruise trip vary with every trip. It is important to know what kinds of requirements are necessary for sailing. For some special diet restriction or request it is important to notify 60 days before cruise trip. It is better to leave your all personal documents (credit cards, IDs, Passport, etc) copies to a closest friend or family member back on the mainland. To enter in some countries you may need some vaccinations. So it is better to discuss your cruise plan with a doctor and bring proof of vaccinations. For ongoing medical problem, it is better to have a brief medical history with you. Verify your cruise plans and check all information is correct. Flight information should be checked for accuracy. You are responsible for arriving at port in time for security check and departure. Being an 8-ft extension cord for (hair dryer, electric razor, and laptop charger) and ask for cabin voltage also. You may need an adapter too. Give the cruise liner contact information to a friend or family member back on the mainland. Contacting information of cruise ship can be found on the cruise line’s web site. Security checking can take lot of time so be sure to arrive at the port area at least two hours before sailing. If you board early, there are many activities that begin before the ship sail. Cruise lines help you save time by send you on board credit card application form with tickets and also save time by allowing you to complete your immigration and embarkation forms online. In order to save time complete the all the forms and bring it with you. When you hand over your passport upon boarding it is important to get a receipt of it and check it before leaving counter. Don’t purchase duty free alcohol to drink on-board. It is confiscated until last day of cruise. It is better to know the information about the ports of call (From internet). So you can enjoy all the destinations. Scuba dive in open water portion required some practice. So learn scuba dive at a local dive center before doing in open water portion. This will minimize the sitting time at a desk while on vocation. Bring your working out clothes and shoes as most of the cruise ships have exercise facilities. Cruise can travel through different climates so pack accordingly. Generally cruise ships are causal. So pack for comfort. Bring some walking and running shoes as cruise go to different ports. Even cruising destinations are warms. Consider packing a sweater, water repellent jacket, glasses and hat. Most dining areas on larger ships have dress code, but not all. Outside the main dining area, generally allow t-shirts, jeans and shorts. If the dress code for dining area is described as casual, wear golf attire. When dress code is said “informal”, wear business casual. If dress code is formal, wear business suits or tuxedos and woman should wear cocktail dress or gowns. Rental tuxedos are available on ship.
