This fault locator is widely used to test underground cables to discover impedance break points in HFC systems then locate and reveal the cable damages, tie-in dampness, and terminal impedance failure. Utilizing Time Domain Reflection technology, the powerful cable fault locator, model 6103, displays the TDR picture on its LCD and analyzes the status of the cable with its advanced analysis software. It can be used to test cables of 25, 50, 75 and 100Ohm impedance at a length of more than 2km even with noise interference. The cable fault locator also provides an intuitive electronic map relevant to time domain picture so that faults can be detected easily.
