The Fear of the LORD is for the Saved & Lost Alike... Let me show you why. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge & wisdom. To get knowledge from God is the one thing that every person must have to get saved. Wisdom from God is what you get from the act of being saved by the Blood of Jesus Christ. It doesn't stop once you are saved because you must follow the will that God has set out for you. You find Christ' will from reading the Bible. The Old & New Testament are vast in producing the wisdom that the Lord wants you to have. Although, you have to read and study his Word. The King James Bible and a Strong's Concordance are the two books I recommend highly. Plus, the Bible says you need a strong dose of the Holy Ghost, prayer, and supplication. If you can't submit & repent to the Lord and tell him that you know he is right, there is a true need for you to read & study the Bible. Because maybe there is hope for the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit to tells you the fear of the LORD that is the beginning of knowledge. You have to submit to the knowledge of God before you find the LORD. Then with repentance, you can become a Born-Again believer in Christ. You will then see the fear the LORD is the beginning of wisdom after you have become a true believer in Christ. The LORD has been kind to me with all that he has brought to pass in my life and shown me throughout the Bible & life in general. I know that with every step I make in my life, he will give me something for it. Whether it is good for me or not, I know something now, it is far better to follow the Will of God than your own. That is why I am putting this on the world wide web... Psalms 111:10 - The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. For the Saved or Born-Again Believers - Once you have been born-again and really begun to fear the LORD, that is the place where he wants every believer to be. The fear of the Lord comes when you totally submit your life to God. Just as you might have done with your earthly father or guardian in your life. That is the way your Heavenly Father wants you to live your new life for him. Not doing whatever you feel like but by asking your Father above what you should do. God wants to be a part of your life. Look at Genesis 3, and pay attention to verses 6-7. God wanted to be a part of Adam's and Eve's lives but their shine dwindled when they both sinned. The sin that they committed was that they ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge, that God himself had told them not too. They both found that they were naked in their eyes, they both felt shame. God had to do something with them both and he did. When Adam & Eve had known that they had sinned against God, they both could not change anything that they had done. They needed a propitiation for their sin. God killed an animal to give them clothing, saved them so they could not live in their sinful state, and he sent them out of the garden of Eden to avoid them eating the tree of life in verses 13-24. Adam & Eve get thrown out of the garden of Eden. God will do the same type of thing, to a lost man, for Salvation by his Grace. I will say that Salvation is a free gift but Salvation came at a cost to someone. Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price for sin and that cost is imputed towards a man that will submit his life to God, repent of his sinful ways, and turn to Jesus Christ and claim he is the only way. That is why Jesus Christ was sent to this earth, for another man that the Lord could use. For instance, look how Jesus Christ submits to God, the Father in Luke 22:39-46, but pay attention to verse 42. When you totally throw your hands up and tell God that you can't live your life anymore and how you want God to live through you, that is submitting to the Father. You can't know anything spiritually until you present or submit yourself as a living sacrifice to the Lord, Romans 12:1-2. James 4:7-10, I believe, I and every believer, am to constantly be submitted to the Lord throughout our entire born-again lives. Whether you have to submit inwardly or outwardly, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. One of the best ways to submit is by reading and practicing what is written in the Bible and praying to the Father above. Because in Galatians 2:20, I believe that is where the rubber meets the road. But, if you can't live that way, and you think that you are a true believer in Christ, you should examine yourself. In 2 Corinthians 13:5 it tells us to do that except if you are living a lie to the world and to God. Proverbs 1:7 - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. For the Unsaved - No one gets saved unless they first submit there life unto the Lord Jesus Christ. When I go to the unbeliever and talk with them and hear them say they don't believe in God. I opened up the Word of God and told him all of the things that Jesus had done for him. They listened for a while and then they said that they could believe some of that but they could not believe it all. I thought about this and they were being just like every man of this world. A person that does not fear the LORD has no understanding and knowledge of God. Just like it says in Proverbs 26:4-5, that is the way that I want to answer the unsaved. Not giving them fuel to just throw back in my face when they were not going to believe in the One who had sent me. Not elevating them up to judge, putting God on trial and letting them make a decision to accept or reject God. Because, what happens when something goes wrong in their life, which makes them change their mind, and take God off the pedestal they had put him on? It comes down to one thing, they were never saved. Let me tell you, God is the Judge of this world and he is the decision maker, not man. He will see if you submit to him through repenting to God, and you have to ask his Son to come to dwell inside you. That is salvation by the Grace of God. Once you fear the Lord you can get wisdom through the word of God, the Holy Ghost, and through the preaching of scripture, just look at, Proverbs 9:10. It is true, no matter if you believe this or not. You have to believe the scripture, all of the scripture.
