But if you are a first time gun buyer, what are your motives? Do you actually need a gun in the first place? Here are tips that will help you decide whether you actually need a gun. 1. Does your family own guns? If you have seen your father, uncle or any other adult in the family own guns, then you probably too want to be an owner yourself. Though this is a motive that is full of fallacy and can actually be dangerous if everyone had this motive for owning guns, it cannot be denied that this is one of the most common reasons why people start buying guns most of the time. If this is your motive for buying a gun, the best thing to do would be to examine yourself and find out a better reason why you need to buy a gun in the first place. 3. Do you love to hunt? Have you been hunting with your friend’s guns till this time? If you are one of those people whose family has always gone on hunting trips together whether a lot of fun occurred as everyone spent time shooting ducks, boar and other wildlife, then wanting to own a gun is a wonderful thing. Hunting is still a very good reason for owning a gun. 4. Are you worried about your safety and want something to protect yourself. Self defense is a very important reason people have for buying guns. If you are not sure about your security and feel you may be attacked, owning a gun can be a fine idea. There is nothing wrong with that.
