Many people value live in care worker jobs because of the independent, flexible and controlling nature that it offers its clients. There are a few categories that live-in care work can be broken down into. But the main essence of the job category is that live in carers take up work while residing in the home of an individual who needs the services of a live-in carer for a given period of time. There are a few ways in which such workers could be introduced to the industry. One is by a private care agency who acts as a direct provider in providing home-care service. These agencies employ private live in carers who they then control and direct towards third party jobs that come to the agency. Another agency technique is where an employment agency introduces the worker to a client who requires the service. In this case, the worker will be employed and paid for directly by the individual who is using the service. The third scenario is where a service user directly contacts live in carers and employs them without going through any middleman. These workers are usually referred to as personal assistants and the working period in this case is sometimes fixed and sometimes indefinite. The work tasks and durations of live in care UK work is usually agreed upon on an hourly or daily basis and is based on the extent of choice and control that an individual using the service expects to have over daily activities and life in their own home. Every individual client would have different types of reasons for hiring live in care worker jobs. These needs usually vary and could include tasks that can be completed in just a few minutes. When a care worker is not working, he/she is allowed to sleep, rest and be involved in other activities of their own life. Along with flexible working terms and conditions, those enrolled with this service have the added reassurance that another person is living in the house who will be able to assist them with any activity at any time, more so in case of an emergency. Such service may rarely or never be called upon from the live in carers but the reassurance is simply a crucial factor in giving old or disabled individuals the confidence to reside in their own homes instead of moving into a special home for the elderly or the disabled.
