Eazel Toolbar: Trust or Remove

As mentioned before, there are quite a few different applications that have been developed by Conduit Ltd, including WiseConvert Toolbar and MixiDJ Toolbar. All of the Conduit programs have been created for one single purpose – to spread Conduit search tools. If you choose to install the plugin onto the Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer browsers, you will be prompted with a recommendations box. Here you will be asked to change the home page and default search provider. Note that you do not have to make the changes, as they are not compulsory. Please also be aware of the third-party tools offered for installation. These may be set to install automatically, which is why you need to un-check the appropriate boxes in order to dismiss them.

In case you have already allowed the toolbar to reconfigure your browser settings, your home page is now set to search.conduit.com. This search engine is not the most reliable one as it is supported through third-party advertisement, and you can learn about this through the Privacy Policy. In some rare cases, the ads could open up Windows security backdoors and help the malicious schemers to infiltrate malware onto the personal computer.

Manual Removal Instructions

Delete from Windows XP:

1. Open the Start menu and click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
3. Select all programs related to Conduit and Remove them.

Delete from Windows Vista/7:

1. Click Start and select Control Panel.
2. Go to Uninstall the program and right-click the application you wish to remove.
3. Select Uninstall to complete the task.

Delete from Windows 8:

1. Right-click on the background of the Metro UI start screen.
2. Select All apps, open Control Panel and click Uninstall a program.
3. Right-click the application you wish to remove and select Uninstall.

Mozilla Firefox:

1. Launch the browser, simultaneously tap Alt+H and select Troubleshooting Information.
2. Click reset Firefox, confirm the choice and then hit Finish.

Google Chrome:

1. Open the browser, simultaneously tap Alt+F and select Settings.
2. Under On Startup mark ‘Open a specific page or set of pages’ and click Set pages.
3. Overwrite the provided URL and click OK.
4. Click Manage search engines (under Search) and remove (click X) the unwanted provider.

Internet Explorer:

1. Open IE, simultaneously tap Alt+T and select Internet Options.
2. Click the General tab, change the Home Page and click OK.
3. Tap Alt+T again and select Manage Add-ons.
4. Click Search Providers and Remove the undesirable provider. Click OK.
