• Vehicle Landing on Roof Top: Ok, this is no scene from a Fast and Furious franchisee but a true story. Cops in Fresno, California saw a stolen vehicle landing on the roof top of a house. The reports say that the car was being driven at an extremely high speed and eventually hit one of the big rocks following one of the tree stumps and managed to launch itself in air and land on one of the roof tops. The driver obviously fled away but was soon caught at his girlfriend’s place.
• That’s what Homing Pigeons do: Roy Day from Kent, England had twenty homing pigeons living in the shed of his garden. Obviously neighbors had a problem with this and they complained to the authorities, which later asked Day to get rid of the pigeons as they could potentially be a health issue. The authorities asked Day give them away or sell them off. Day, in turn, told that even if he was leave those pigeons 150 miles away they would fly back as that is the nature of homing pigeons and that is what they do.
• Vienna Ministry Returns Cash to the Robber: Back in 1993, Otto Neuman, a bank manager at Erste Bank, Vienna, embezzled more than 150,000 GBP in gold and cash and he also staged a robbery to cover up the incident. After Neuman was arrested, only a little gold and 51,000 GBP in cash were recovered. The gold was passed on to insurer while the 51,000 GBP in cash was stored as an evidence for more than 19 years. The insurer went ahead and compensated the loss bank had to face and the insurer did not even suffer any loss because of appreciation in gold over the years. The ministry now things that the cash, which was kept as evidence is not something they have a right on, and that this why it is being returned to Neuman.
• Fox Steals Phone, Answers Calls and Sends Texts: Now this one could as well go into Ripley’s. Lars Andreas Bjercke, a teenager from Norway, downloaded an on his phone. The app could make rabbit kind of sound to attract foxes. After repeated playing of the app, incidentally a fox got attracted and started doing rounds of the house Lars lived in. The fox after getting a chance stole the phone and the theft was also recorded on a video. The story gets even better. Lars tried calling the phone and to his surprise the call was answered with some crackling sound coming from the other end. The next day one of Lars’s friend was left confused when he received a text message from the phone with random letters and numbers in the text, which was a clear proof that the fox was texting and probably getting smartphone-savvy.
