The Gear VR , developed by Samsung Electronics and Oculus has brought a new era in the virtual technology. It is more than a mobile virtual reality headset, compatible with Samsung Galaxy devices, mainly Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6/S6 Edge/S6 Edge+, or Galaxy S7/S7 Edge. Due to an overwhelming popularity of Gear VR, a number of apps and games have flooded the market in the past few months and the list is continuously growing. All these apps can be downloaded after searching for the apps in the “Store" section of Gear VR’s home screen. The player can explore a virtual world full of dolphins, sharks, turtles, sea snakes, rays, whales, manatees, sea lions and even dinosaurs. Player can swim around and explore each habitat using gamepad or touch controls. Support for both the Gear VR’s on board touch controllers and Bluetooth connected gamepads is also available. NextVR This is one of the coolest apps, which makes you believe that you're at a sports or news event in virtual reality, getting a front-row seat for everything from sports events to US Presidential debates. The app is the leader in broadcasting live events in virtual reality, which streams events to VR headsets in 180 degrees. Soundscape VR If you are a music lover, then Soundscape VR is a must-have app for you. It is like a virtual soft synth that allows you tap to add musical notes, add drums, change effects and influence the characteristics of one of three instruments. It can be run single or with two random people in a multiplayer mode. There is a handy tutorial mode for people who start the experience for the first time. Hitman Go: VR Edition It is one of the most popular stealth assassination series for mobile, and, surprisingly, it proves a perfect fit for VR, too. The old concept is unchanged here and each hit takes the form of a puzzle on a game board, challenging you to find the best way through threats and around hazards to complete the stage. To add more, in VR it really feels like you're playing on a physical surface with tiny miniature figurines. The Night Cafe The Night Cafe (the name of one of Van Gogh’s paintings) is an awesome VR experience that allows you to explore the world of Van Gogh who was famous Dutch post-Impressionist painter. You just wander around and enjoy his iconic sunflowers in 3 dimensions or roam around the chair he painted in his bedroom. With installing this app, you will learn how 3D rendering could be experienced through virtual reality technology. The game has two control options; the touch pad on the headset or a wireless Bluetooth controller. While forward movement is controlled with the touch pad, directional movement occurs through the physical location of your head. He app is a must-have for horror fiction lovers.
